There is a growing interest in the Jewish Cemetery in Pabianice.
On Sunday, April 24, 2022, another cyclical action of cleaning the Jewish Cemetery in Pabianice took place.
A robust group of local patriots, community activists and volunteers gathered around the Watchmen of Memory Association (Stowarzyszenia Strażnicy Pamięci), Pabianicki Sztetl community, Society of Friends of the History of Pabianice, Journey Through Pabianice (Podróż Przez Pabianice) and Association of Responsible Pabianicans Forum (Stowarzyszenia Forum Odpowiedzialnych Pabianiczan) organized spring cleaning, in which they took care not only of the necropolis space but also the memory of the community of Pabianice Jews, who before the war numbered about 9 thousand people.
“Today, it no longer exists. The cemetery remains. We are here and we can save them from oblivion.”
